Pros

Old days Kojo was an absolute time. Change in leadership made it a much worse place to work. Decent product, can be a big solve for contractors.

Cons

Changing the goal post quite often on the sales team. Constantly felt like we were going in different directions with product.

Pros

The training structure at Kojo has been amazing. Sadie and the rest of the team have been so helpful with getting starting and being successful right from the jump. Having real connections with co-workers while being remote has been super cool as well.

Cons

no cons on my end!

Pros

Joined Kojo in early 2025, and was instantly shocked by the level of process and resources already in play for what I assumed to be a startup culture. From on onboarding perspective, there's an arsenal of information in the company intranet that I can access on my own time, when needed. Gives you the confidence that unlike many other hypergrowth companies, there's a strategy and intention behind the work, versus borderline random and reactive action which is what I see in many similarly sized companies. Culture is remote but strong - great leadership, get the sense that people are friends outside of the virtual office (lots of travel to lend itself to in person connections), and space in the week to connect on a level outside of jsut work. CSuite seen as a trusted leadership team. Bright, talented, keen eye on the market outside of just internal dynamics, I definitely see them as people who have a pulse on what Kojo needs to do (and continue to do) to remain a trusted leader in the market.

Cons

Like any startup, there's movement. Sometimes priorities shift and we're asked to be agile with where the work and effort goes. Certianly not a bad thing (and again, there's much more in place in terms of tech stack, documented resources, etc) than most orgs in this stage. But I wouldn't recommend it to someone uncomfortable with taking initiative.
