Pros

- Both the San Francisco and Portland offices are located centrally, have nice amenities, are near hubs of public transportation, and offer great views of their respective cities. - Lots of growth opportunities for non-technical careers

Cons

- Crippling scaling issues continue to surface as the company grows thanks to the success of the publishing business - Huge process breakdowns and communication issues across technical teams - Technical teams are overworked, undervalued and largely ignored compared to publishing departments - Regularly sacrifices quality over quantity - Leadership is reactive rather than proactive - Places culture on a pedestal, but it's almost nonexistent outside of longstanding co-worker cliques - People/career development is nearly impossible outside of publishing roles - HR representatives are often rude and treat you as though you can't be trusted

Pros

They're very clear when communicating big news to the team and have improved a lot over the years regarding handling both happy and sad news.

Cons

It's a rough industry and Kongregate has also suffered from the tech bubble burst.
