Pros
The owner and his wife have been great mentors to me. It's been a year since I've started with Kramer Events. I've had over 2 decades of experience as a DJ/MC. I've learned skills that I never would have learned if not for them. I will have to eventually move on due to my current day job. However, Kramer Events will forever be rooted into my own brand when my time is done. I've noticed so much growth in the way I MC and DJ. I've never had any formal training before Kramer Events. I didn't think there would be much to train on since I've had so much experience before. I was definitely wrong about that. Kramer Events has opened up my eyes to styles, skills and work ethic I've never used before. They also provide other training platforms and videos where you can learn at your own pace and record what you are doing so, they can critique you for any improvements needed. If you've had many years’ experiences like myself, I recommend having an open mind to things you may learn with Kramer Events. That's what I did and I know I'm better for it. They care about their team and will welcome you with open arms. I can assure you they are the best at what they do. They are direct with you when providing feedback. The straightforward approach is something I prefer for my particular learning curve. This company has advanced me in becoming more self-aware of my work ethic. We fill out what's called "Post Event Review Notes" (PERNs) which I believe is a great time to reflect on your events: the good, the bad and the ugly. This gives the Team Leader feedback from your perspective on your event. It also gives him the opportunity to provide feedback or suggestions to help you with future events. The idea here is to never be satisfied and there's always room for improvement. That right there is why the Kramer Events team is so successful They are one big family. I haven't met anyone that I didn't like. I love being around every team member. There is nothing but smiles and positive attitudes. We love what we do. Of course, there will be events that don't go right. Yes, you're going to encounter clients who are difficult or picky on their playlists. However, Kramer prepares you with the tools you need to accept those challenges and you will feel a sense of accomplishment. Remember, it's all about the mindset you have and what you put into this team. If you're positive going into it, then that's what you will get out of it. The opposite can also be true, but that is up to you. Thank you for reading my review and maybe we'll work together soon!
Cons
Hours can be long with set up and teardown. There could be some lengthy drive times. I particularly see this as part of what I love to do and not necessarily a bad thing.
