Pros
- the people are talented, fun, and kind - there are learning and development opportunities - the product idea/concept is impactful and meaningful - free snacks and espresso - casual work attire - office location is right by a farmers market - the team often plans lunches and gatherings which creates great friendships
Cons
- majority of decision-making is based on present financial reasons. There is no consideration of culture, employee impact, long-term goals, or developing the company in a progressive way. This way of thinking has caused a lot of animosity, hostility, loss of culture, and employee and client turnover. - management views employees as disposable and lacks appreciation for talent. Instead of fostering ideas, change, and collaboration from employees, management will use fear and bullying tactics to 'motivate' employees. - the product is in need of a lot of change. Retaining and attracting clients became more and more difficult without the addition of features/upgrades to the product - management is not transparent about anything - finances, road maps, product development, employee turnover. This caused a lot of uneasiness and nervousness. - working remotely was revoked from all employees.
