Cons
Head partner of the "new firm" is an arrogant, condescending person! His demeanor & the way he talked down to an AT&T service man was appalling. He believes others are beneath him and he speaks down to them like they are not a human being. I was embarrassed to be associated and a part of this "new firm" at the time. The way you talk to someone is a true indicator of the type of person you are. That is when I realized this "new firm" is not the type of firm I want to work for or be associated with. The partners and other employees are not who they portray themselves to be either. The workplace and environment is very toxic. The "new firm" belittle their employees and treat them like dirt. They make their employees think they are incompetent and there is something wrong with them. The management and the type of people they are is disheartening. They are very disrespectful and rude to not only their employees, but to possible future clients. I witnessed the way they spoke to potential clients and emails they sent to them. Anyone who witnessed this would be shocked and taken back by the behavior and demeanor of these partners and employees. They are very disrespectful and act like they know more about the future clients company than the actual employee of the company. They would tell their future client what was ethical for them to do at their own company and called the client a liar when the client contradicted the firms statements. I have never been more appalled by their work ethic and behavior to their employees and other individuals. I would never recommend this firm to anyone! I worked for another firm for 7 years and have nothing but praises to be said about them. The environment and demeanor were polar opposites in comparison to the firm I worked for long term. My first firm treated others with the utmost respect. They are a well known and respected firm for over 30+ years. You can tell the difference between a group of employees who have been in the business for years as opposed to the younger generation of attorneys starting out. The attorney's at my first firm never talked down to anyone and never looked at them as they were stupid when they would ask any type of question. I decided it was time for me to leave that firm and move down to Texas. I had no idea a change like that would turn into a nightmare. My first firm respected me and all my connections in the industry and community. They praised me and acknowledged my success in bringing in clients into the firm. The "new firm" just cared about profit and what clients you could introduce them to.
