Pros

CEO is one of the most ethical people I've known. He is pragmatic and fair in his treatment of all staff members. Performers are rewarded and non-performers are provided opportunities to improve. As a boutique MSP, this is sort of a family business. A good number of employees have been with the company for 10+ years. From a professional growth standpoint, all technical staff, including remote and on-site, are provided experience working with a broad array of technologies. LANSolutions cultivates the generalist in its technology professionals and will aid in continued training for those ambitious enough to further their understanding and knowledge.

Cons

As a smaller company, there is limited upward mobility and vacancies are needed in order to be promoted, specifically for non-technical staff. Additionally, the breadth of technologies are somewhat limiting and there is limited exposure to enterprise level platforms, meaning that technical staff will not be doing a lot of work with SCCM, Linux, Unix, or Oracle.

Pros

- You get a pay check every two weeks - competitive salary compared to McDonalds - They provide a bathroom which they occasionally clean - 1970s chairs and lots of 'retro' looks throughout the office - Sweastshop experience will help you in your next career move - a lucrative career move - Very fun co-workers whose only ambition is to sit in a chair and get 'bigger' - Beautiful accents of foreign managers who berate subordinates if they do not - Career growth is awesome; stay for 20 years and you MIGHT be able to get promoted

Cons

- CEO cares about you and wants to give you a generous pay raise of 0-1% every two years - CEO cares about training and will throw hissy fits at the thought of bettering his employees because 'they might leave' - CTO and HR are married - total objectivity in the case of any conflicts - Everyone loves each other and cares about each other's welfare - Lots of diversity of white people - some from Texas, Texas, and Texas.
