Pros

Good location but that is subjective. Some of the ground staff are nice friendly people.

Cons

I worked for Lima close to a year. They are based close to Media City which is about 20mins drive from where I live so the location was ideal. In my time here I have seen majority of employees come in and leave in less than 2 months, the turnover rate is very high and it doesn't take long for individuals to realise that Lima is not what they promise to be. I have seen entire departments leave and then be replaced after a couple of months while the remaining staff is put under serious stress to compensate for lack of resources. They try to cut costs by recruiting employees not suited to the offered role, thrown in the deep end and offered below market salaries. Salary increases are none existent. At times they are desperate to recruit due to the high turnover rate and business needs, which means someone new may come in with less experience or in the same role as yourself but be on a much higher salary. Hard working and loyal staff are not recognised and treated fairly. The office is ran by politics and favours individuals that suck up to the senior management. Management have regular meetings where politics are discussed in detail, and lots of secrets are kept from certain people which creates a very toxic working environment. Poor cutthroat culture and very micromanaged. Working procedures and policies are very vague and constantly changing. Lima copies policies from other MSP's but miserably fails as the core of the business is in shambles. When customers come in to visit the office, departments are relocated to different seats to throw an illusion that there is more staff than there actually is. Parking is very small and you are often stuck with nowhere to leave your car. Stay away and look elsewhere.

Thank you for the review and I'm sorry it hasn't worked out how you had hoped. There are lot of points you have raised and we do appreciate the feedback. Our recruitment policy over the last 12 months has, we feel been very well received and ensuring the right people, with the right skills are in the right positions has been a priority. Ironically it costs us more to put the wrong people in a role than it does to get the right ones so getting the necessary skills in a person who has the same core values as we do is a must. We try to have a very open management meetings, often inviting non-management personnel to advise on a subject or report specific progress on a project and we find that being as open as we are gives management the ability to feel part of what we are looking to achieve and empowered to take responsibility their part or the business. If information hasn't already been passed across at one of our regular company meetings or departmental nights out then we ask our managers to ensure everyone in their team is kept updated. Parking is an issue and we are still looking at how this can be improved. Unfortunately we cant create more spaces but are looking at ways to make it easier. Investing in our service and support teams is at the core of what we do. Many of our most qualified and long standing engineers have advanced with the training and support offered. Again I am sorry it has not worked out for you at Lima and wish you every success with your career.
