While touting a fast-paced, high-income work environment, and professionalism, this company is a greased pig with lipstick and a fancy suit. Don't let them fool you, you will be doing door to door sales in hot, uncomfortable dress clothes, with little to prove your credentials but an old binder filled with useless paperwork. As a matter of fact, you will be forced to recite "the pitch", which has been performed by many others before you. Not only do the sales tactics contain a number of mechanical and technical errors, they are text book examples of logical and emotional fallacies that would be considered unethical in any other sales or rhetorical environment. Bandwagoning, baiting and switching, fear of losing, and straw-man arguments are all part of the "curriculum". Combine this with high-pressure competition, an inexperienced HR, failure to understand state and federal worker protection rights, a sheer and blatant mishandling of salesmanship, and a narcissistic boss (you can spot that by the response to EVERY criticism he receives just on glassdoor alone), you have the opportunity to make only commission. Then, at the end of a long day, be prepared to degraded on your job and witness highly questionable workplace behavior. But if you like to work 55+ a week with little pay, a boss who makes you wear a tie just for him (no really), and walking around outside, no matter the weather, this job is for you.
