Pros

I genuinely enjoyed my short time working at Lyon Tech, and while my short (4 month) tenure might look like a red flag it’s far from it. I left purely for a new opportunity that fell into my lap and is no reflection on them, it was bittersweet to be leaving so soon! - There is an excellent team environment. Everyone pitches in and helps out, and you’ll find everyone has time to help if you have an issue. Everyone is welcoming, easy to get on with and most importantly it’s a social and inclusive environment. - Senior management, and the MD, were very responsive and receptive to my feedback, and were quick to implement sweeping change to drive the business forward in a good direction. The operations director in particular has a people-first mindset, and genuinely wants the best for all and driving the company towards being a better place to work and building the business to support that promising future. - The tools in use are good, with a direction for sensible use of future tools. They’re not there yet, but I’m confident they will be and the direction is the right one; with well considered, sensible decisions being made and not rushed into. - The framework for engineers and career progression is excellent and best in class. If you’re an engineer looking for a clear, no nonsense and self-driven guide to building your career and striving for the next step then Lyon is a great place to be. The only limitation is your own ambition and drive; it’s all there in black and white if you want the next step and how to get there and what to expect when you do. - New office location in WeWork is excellent location, vibe and quality place to come and work. I’m sure there’s more I could say, but I will say that the reviews below might have been a representation of a time which I feel confident in saying no longer exists.

Cons

- The tools currently in place need work, and in same cases need change (documentation management primarily). This is being worked on, and will come with time but how it is now needs some work. - Recruitment is now full steam ahead, which is great, but has previously been slow or not prioritised. This is largely due to a lack of available time by those who need to do it, to do it properly. Again, all well discussed and being prioritised correctly now and worked on which is great news! - The benefits need improvement, a small boost across the board to be more competitive with other companies offerings.

Pros

As much sick leave as you wish, as long as your KPI's are good The main staff are wonderful to work with, and are very tight group.

Cons

All emails are diverted to the service desk Time sheets are scrutinised, ever week Ignores employees mental health needs Senior management would prefer to complain and offer no assistance, then work out any proper solution Senior management prefer to ignore issues and hope they go away.
