Pros

unlimited PTO One of the three founders has his act together ... sort of

Cons

Company has missed last three qtrs' numbers ... and not be just a little, but by a lot! Layoffs in July look to be the start of a trend as investors grow impatient - this boat is sinking, so board at your own risk Lack of repeatable sales model since most sales are custom APIs; pricing is non-existent (& what pricing exists is woefully under-priced) CEO (little Napolean) asked to step down in July but worse news, investors gave CEO job to one of founders who is not equipped to lead the company The company is not structured to scale the business ... there's 5-8X more people in QA than in sales.

I had to re-look up the story of Napoleon before I wrote this... jokes aside, I appreciate your blunt comments. Regardless of your perception / judgement / characterization of the financial health, leadership capabilities, and scalability of our business, I take all employee concerns very seriously and I want to speak with you about this. I hope you’ll get in touch with me so we can discuss further.

Pros

Label Insight is a true Start Up unlike many others who advertise themselves as a Start Up. Label Insight has a clear company value around bringing transparency to consumer codes. Label Insight has small company feel with some really dedicated and smart people who are committed to moving the company forward. As a tech company Engineering truly gets to guide the organization in the technology. As well as some pretty nice perks:- * Unlimited Vacation * Free Beer * Cold brew coffee and matcha tea keg * Fully stocked kitchen * Dog Fridays

Cons

Life in a Start Up can be exhausting with much uncertainty. Having to adjust or deal with limited information and requirements is both a curse but also makes it exciting place to work as an Engineer. The is also some out of the office work required and even some late nights an weekend to help reach company milestones. However, the excitement after reaching a goal is very heavily rewarded making it a fun place to work.

It's awesome to hear your feedback, not sugar coating the fact that there are sometimes late nights and weekend hours worked, but that at the end of the day, the successes we share as a team is what makes this fast-paced, startup company so exciting. Great to have your support of the Executive and Sales teams, too, allowing them to do what they do best and continue to lead our team to victory time and time again!
