Multi-tasking is essential in my department, and it was very difficult to go on long leave (>1 weeks). Senior business support is expected to figure out the processes and requirements and came out with improvement ideas to add value immediately upon join. Otherwise, they brush you off quickly and will consider terminate you. They would deem you as inefficient for working OT even that is to meet business requirement. Overall, it is a toxic working environment with harsh feedback, micro-management and unrealistic expectations to work fast and highly accurate within tight deadline, at least that was my experience.
