Pros
Great mission - providing wrap-around services and housing to the homeless mentally ill, which is much-needed.
Cons
Programs were well-designed and effective, but the organization was fraught with management - related issues that ran deep. My manager did not seem to be well-trained for her position and it affected my work negatively. For example, my director/supervisor was extremely inappropriate extremely moody and reactive, having different expectations all the time. She told me I was her first report and her management style reflected this: one day, I would be given a stellar employee review and three months later, literally a barely satisfactory one. Shortly after I left, I heard from my colleagues that LAMP merged with another homeless services organization OPCC. I hope this helps to turn the organization around. My past supervisor is no longer there.
I worked on average 12-hr days and benefits were pretty standard for a nonprofit organization (medical insurance, sick time and vacation benefits).
