Pros
You have the freedom to run a much (legally) or as little as you want. You select the loads you want, according to the criteria you specify. Good fuel discounts. They handle most of the business for you, and charge you weekly in your settlements.
Cons
They take 35% of each load, and of things like extra stop pay, unload assist pay, layover pay. Calling Landstar for any reason is crazy. You are on hold a minimum of 20 min before you speak to a live person.
