Pros
There has been significant attrition within both TPG and Launch senior leadership over the last few years, which at times created challenges for the consulting organization. With the current leadership team, I've seen a much clearer and more consistent strategy centered on AI and business value rather than simply adopting the latest tools. Having previously run AI startups prior to joining, I was specifically looking for meaningful AI experience. Since joining Launch, I've gained exposure to AI-driven client transformations that accelerated my professional growth beyond what I expected. The experience has gone well beyond learning technology and has included understanding how AI can move the needle on clients' core competencies. I've been treated with respect and transparency, and I've been trusted with meaningful responsibility. I appreciate the level of autonomy employees are given and the willingness of leadership to communicate openly about challenges and priorities.
Cons
Historical leadership turnover resulted in shifting strategies and policies that created frustrating inconsistency for employees. Additionally, because Launch's parent company, TPG, has roots in staffing, there were periods where staffing-oriented policies influenced consulting operations in ways that didn't always align with how a consulting business should be run. Based on the changes I've seen in both TPG and Launch leadership, those issues have improved considerably, and the strategy feels stable and sustainable today. That said, Launch is a place for people who are professionally hungry. There is an expectation that employees are passionate about the quality of their work and ongoing growth. People looking for a "do my 40 and disconnect" culture should look elsewhere.
