Pros
Regular hours. Balance. The technology was decent at the time I worked there. The work can be interesting.
Cons
Management - too many petty, power-hungry types. Micromanagement is the default setting for many. There were too many senior people who were disparaging towards and openly vindictive to those who questioned the status quo. I can’t imagine it has improved. Overall, the corporate culture was regressive and intolerant of diversity in any form - I witnessed managers make jokes and casual remarks that were sexist, racist, homophobic, transphobic, and ableist, and it was expected that everyone would tolerate it, as though diversity and equity were punchlines. Also, many people in senior positions had very limited experience in private practice, making them not always well suited to handling complex E&O claims against lawyers and managing people who had significant experience.
