Pros

1. nice and friendly colleagues 2. open-minded and understanding management 3. great staff benefits (e.g. discount to book hotel and restaurants) 4. company is good for people who like relaxing job but not for $ 5. great work opportunities, can transfer to other Marriott hotels

Cons

1. location is kinda remote 2. workload is uneven for employees 3. staff have to be very multi-tasking, probably need to pick-up lots of duties that not supposed to have 4. very limited salary growth, can't keep up with market rate, bonus was poor compared with other hotels 5. bad canteen food & limited restaurants in the area 6. HR in-charge took things personal, she respected people accordingly

Pros

Le Meridien has strong leadership and experience with its General Manager, Cassey Kirk. The Assistant Manager, Ariel Reed, has buttoned down all areas of the company to support each leader to be successful. The employees are happy, giving and caring to support each other. The culture is amazing

Cons

The hotel is old, so there are issues with pipes, drainage, etc. However the GM addresses all these issues and is continually ensuring the hotel is top notch at all times.

Pros

Customers are probably your best friends here. The people that visit are pretty nice. They just want to have good service, especially for what they're paying. Understandable. Often, I wanted to go above and beyond for the nice people that came here.

Cons

Staff is nice but you can't help but feel like overall everyone is using each other as a stepping stone. Or to make themselves look good. Or to even get themselves out of trouble. Since this position is the bottom of the pecking order. Prepare yourself. Don't get taken advantage of but also remain professional at all times.
