Pros

If you are in the 'in' crowd with senior mgmt, you're good. But wait and watch your back. Executives will turn on you.

Cons

The executive senior management team in Novi, MI WILL lie beyond belief, to save their jobs. They have no idea how to address personnel concerns or issues (because HR is a joke). They are immature, unprofessional and not trustworthy (CEO). They have no problem using you for their scapegoat (head of HR). They will seek to ruin your life, before loosing their jobs (General Counsel). They will lie (CMO).

Pros

I love my job, We have a great company that really looks at what is best for children and teachers. Our education team is fantastic our children are excelling daily in their learning but still always have the opportunity to play and experience there classrooms. We have great benefits which is hard to find. I would recommended our school and any in the company. Our school is very unique we have incredibly long term staff. Many over 25 years my self I have been with our company for 41 years.

Cons

Work life balance is always an opportunity that could be better as in any company.

Cons

Inconsistent enforcement of company policies. Low wages. Curriculum materials are not always provided. Uneven workloads due to bad hiring and inconsistent staffing (some have it easy while others are overwhelmed with responsibilities). Little upward mobility for teachers.

Thank you for sharing your detailed experience. It’s clear that you value the benefits, consistent scheduling, and the meaningful work of shaping children’s growth. At the same time, your concerns highlight significant operational challenges: low pay, uneven workloads, inconsistent policy enforcement, lack of curriculum materials, and limited upward mobility. Your point about classroom cleaning and sanitation is especially important—expecting teachers to manage both education and full cleaning duties under tight schedules creates a real risk for staff health and burnout. Your advice about incentives to retain staff, a clear reporting system for management issues, and more structured time for planning and sanitation underscores actionable ways management could improve both teacher wellbeing and overall center quality.
