Hi, and thanks for your feedback—we’ve taken what you said to heart. We, too, believe organizations that make gender equality a priority are simply better when it comes to business performance, culture, ability to innovate, and many other things. We’re sharing your words with our leadership, and we’d love to share with you some of the things we’re working on when it comes to gender equality in the workplace:
To address your concern about hiring specifically, we’re working with organizations that are gold star examples when it comes to gender equality so we can make this a focus of our recruiting and hiring efforts. We’re also implementing unconscious bias training so everyone in our organization is aware of any unconscious biases they may have, and so we can provide ways to change what’s sadly become automatic patterns of thinking when it comes to gender, race, sexual orientation, age, and more. This is just the start—there will be more personal and professional development programs around this subject matter in the near future. If there are specific ones you’d like to see implemented here, we’re all ears.
As for something you can get involved with immediately, our Women’s Leadership Guild and Diversity & Inclusion Alliance are two great employee groups that help vocalize and create change inside our organization.
