Pros
I had a wonderful manager, the projects I worked on were fun and utilized my skills well, and the work day was flexible as long as you attended meetings and were available during core hours.
Cons
The CEO was manipulative and abusive, often insulting employees behind their backs in order to cause distrust and competition between coworkers (his explanation for this was that it "made people want to work harder when they were in competition with their coworkers"). When the CEO disliked someone they would often be publicly berated, targeted, or shamed in an effort to make them quit, because firing someone without cause is difficult/illegal according to Australian employment law. There were several incidents of sexual harassment towards female-presenting employees from the CEO as well, and HR did little to nothing to stop the behavior, often apologizing for the CEO rather than taking the victims' sides. Misinformation was deliberately given to employees about company products, which was done to boost sales (ex. that certain stone dice were 'naturally grown' and not manufactured, thereby justifying the higher price point). During the last year (2023-2024) many coworkers were not paid on time, and hours/wages were cut without warning.
