"Treating Employees Well" the WRONG way. - Staff Accountant LeverPoint Management Employee Review

Pros

Employee morale is good, most employees are under 35 as they hire so young. Work is actually interesting and on-the-job learning is beneficial for your whole career. Free (decent) coffee, lots of events, monthly birthday celebrations, most of the time they close business 2 hours early the day before a holiday (unless you have a payment, then you need to stay while others go home). Open atmosphere and pro-collaboration.

Cons

The company is terrible at retaining employees because they don't treat lower level staff well. After I left, it seemed like a domino effect of low-level staff leaving. They hire senior level staff from outside the company with zero industry experience instead of promoting staff who have been there for years. Pitifully low salaries, especially entry level. You can only get promoted if you work insane hours including weekends (with no overtime pay btw). Insultingly low raises and bonuses. Company politics definitely exists here, and things are kept secret from lower-level staff for no reason. Long hours during 4 busy seasons per year. Tax teams work up to 12 hours/day 7 days/week during busy season.
