I’m writing this with the framing of: “What review would I provide a friend who wants to work at LifeLabs?” At the moment, I would describe the company as a “zombie”. Things continue running, but the major engines keeping morale and engagement up are being dragged down by a lot of challenges the team is facing.
- Despite what some other reviews are claiming, work-life balance is no longer a guarantee, especially in client facing teams. The only teams who don’t work dark hours are internal teams or facilitators
- Change management is critically lacking and has made it really difficult to stay engaged. A lot of talented and wonderful teammates have left as a result of poor execution and leadership from all teams
- There’s a lack of accountability for performance from the “leadership” team. Success metrics for folks who lead teams are meaningless as nothing is done to enforce them, especially the metrics around team engagement
- We keep thinking everything will be fixed with our “platform”, yet time and time again this has not worked and the end product is functionally lacking what we needed
