Pros

Unique and forward thinking culture progam. Would be amazing if the followed what the say. Super fancy new corporate office with all the bells & whistles including private bathroom for CEO.

Cons

Repeatedly change policy & practice with out warning or consulting those who do the actual work. New culture program created more resentment & dissatisfaction than it solves. Tell us how bad multi-tasking is for your brain, cares, & accuracy. Still expect you to multi-task. Tells you to "own every problem". Then punishes those who try to. Says residents and employees are important then allowes corporate managers to mock & make fun of them and how "stupid" they are. Tells you to be sympathetic & understanding. Then when you get outsourced ypu are told to act happy & get over it less than 24 hours later. Not that any of that will matter for long since the goal seems to be to outsource everyone so vp's & upper management can go golfing & buy fancy pictures & go clubbing without having to deal with actual employee's.

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. We are sorry you feel the way you do. We are proud of the culture we have created at Lifespace, and work very hard at all levels to fulfill the promises of the program. As a not-for-profit senior living organization, we have a commitment to be good stewards of the organization's resources. Where we have been able to save the organization money by bringing contracted services in house we have done so. We will always view our team members as our greatest asset. Without exceptional team members we would be unable to provide exceptional service to our residents.

Pros

There are many great things about this job, and the people here are amazing. Instead of listing all the “pros,” I’ll just explain everything. The first couple weeks were very hard, but once I got used to the process—particularly the trays—it became rewarding. Every job has its ups and downs, so to speak. And here, there’s definitely that. But overall I’m very pleased how management genuinely cares about their employees. Sure, a lot of stress can be a pain. But I’m glad I’m sticking with it now. My team and I are becoming better every work day, and I’m planning on staying; especially after this holiday. I’ve never worked a job that rewards employees around the holiday season. Overall…I’m very content here. They’re always hiring, it’s a stable occupation. But this role is hard and not everyday is going to be good. That’s with every job. I like challenges, so if you’re like that in anyway—or good work ethic—you might fit well here.

Cons

—You will be tired at first, but you will get used to it. —There’s a difficult learning curve, largely due to understaffing rather than management. —Limited space in the work environment—neither good nor bad, though additional vacancies would help.
