Pros
The office has recently been refurbished and has a garden with countryside views.
Cons
It is a very negative place to work. Most of the line managers don’t have an understanding of how to manage and progress their staff. The pay and benefits are awful (approximately 25% below market rate for salaries) and there have been no bonuses for years. However, when the board, CEO and CFO visit the red carpet is rolled out and the champagne and whisky is flowing (just for them, not the staff) - a little hypocritical when the reason for no pay increases and bonuses was that of money difficulties. You are given stock options as part of your benefits package, but unfortunately it’s not much of a benefit when the price keeps falling. It’s a real shame that the science is good but it seems that the actual aim of the company is to massively line the pockets of the people at the very top who would not get this kind of remuneration even at the biggest bio-tech and pharmaceutical companies.
