Lindamood-Bell does not value employees. The company has a product (its programs) and staff is there simply to deliver the product. Employees are as replaceable as the cogs and wheels of a machine. A part-time employee has no guaranteed hours-- you may work 8 hours a day one week and three hours a day the next. You're given your schedule for the coming week on Friday, with the caveat that it could change at any time-- so Its hard to make plans even for your "free time." However, you must request time off two weeks in advance, and your request can be denied. Time off during the summer is not an option, and if you want time off at Christmas, you need to request in months in advance. The centers are open for business on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve, and wanting family time is not a good enough reason to ask for those days off. Finally, the pay is abysmal--$20.00 an hour.
