Pros
It’s a good cause. Overall aim is to tackle homelessness and provide support to vulnerable people. Some great people work there providing a much needed service. Has several successful support contracts through LinkLiving and also the help to buy scheme and various housing and welfare support. Good benefits, salary and pension and generous holiday entitlement.
Cons
Has become more corporate in the last four years. Excessive and unnecessary management structure in core services such as Finance, HR and ICT. For example in under two years, they went from one ICT manager to a Head of ICT, ICT Manager, a Technical Manager, a Systems Manager, a Service Delivery Manager plus several Project Managers. They Marginalise roles so there is very little opportunity for development. Managers are more interested in protecting themselves then developing their staff.
