Pros

If you love working with children and are willing to grow and learn right alongside of them then this is the place for you. Being an educator within a center takes work. You will give 100% and then a little more. Please don’t be confused, it isn't just babysitting children. Parents pay a lot of money for you to maintain quality care for their children. You will be expected to not only maintain the safety and well being of the children but you must plan educational activities that meet the needs of all the children within your classroom. The play based learning curriculum is wonderful for the children as they learn and grow. Each week there is a theme that you can adapt to your teaching style and the children’s learning styles. You are expected to do continuing education classes so that you can best meet the needs of the children in your classroom and throughout the center. The staff here wants to grow with you, and not only is your education important to them they want to see you be the best educator you can be. I really do love my job. I love being able to enrich the lives of the children that come to the center and I love being able to work so closely with their families and my community. I love being able to foster the structure and routine that these children thrive on daily.

Cons

Staff turnover is hard. This isn't a "Con" for the Center because this isn't the centers fault because they can only guide someone on how to get the training that they need to be a quality educator but they can't force you to take the classes and they can't force you to be a good employee who comes to work and does the best you can do day in and day out.

Pros

Learn exactly what not to do There are some great people caught in a terrible situation

Cons

If you enjoy bounced paychecks, yes bad paychecks and poor business practices, this is the place for you! The CEO Todd, belongs selling used cars at a lemon lot, not running child care centers. Consistently employs shady business practices, is deceptive and even laughs off writing a bad check or not paying a small business. He justifies it to his employees by making comments about how much business we were going to do with them until they complained about not getting paid once. Don’t even know where to start with not paying employees, that’s the basics but it happens regularly. They typically use services until the service provider shuts them off and then they switch (ADP, email service etc) It is all bad, do not work here. Expected to work outrageous hours if you are in management even though your paycheck may bounce. A Colorado Center was shut down and now Todd is attempting to reopen it under a different company name with a friend, which I’m sure the state of Colorado will see right through. Again, shady business practices.
