Pros

Great team members. Open leadership. Company moves and shifts to ensure it's headed in the right direction appropriately. Workcation is encouraged and celebrated. Travel allowance to meet up with co-workers. Great benefits & salary. Cutting edge firm. Open to feedback. Amazing HR. Honestly, I'm really happy here. I've been on two trips in the past two months to meet up with co-workers and leadership, and have met the most amazing people. It's really nice to feel cared about in a business. My background is in startup's and I can't tell you enough about overpromising and under delivering. I can tell you that's not the case here. In a couple of cases where I have felt uncomfortable in terms of workload or process development, I was able to share with someone and was able to bring it up to the team and chat it out and to work on a resolution. I think the main thing to take away from this post is that you need to speak up if you are unhappy. Because we are a remote team, if you bury all of your thoughts and feelings, nothing can get resolved. Your workload might be hectic, but no one has any way of knowing if you don't tell someone.

Cons

- That YOU don't work here. If you're cool. - Some of these glassdoor reviews that people have been leaving. Every new company has it's hiccups while it's beginning to put procedures in place, the point of an employee at this time is to help be the voice that guides those procedures. Or to accept that changes need to happen to encourage its growth in a sustainable way. - This "frat house" or "party life" comment I keep seeing. We have a games day once per month and, of course, workcation with co-workers on a resort is encouraged. That doesn't mean that people party all day long. It means we're finding a way to connect over long distances and get to know one another, in some cases, in a non-work related way - like real co-workers do. It just so happens that meeting in a hot destination is a greater advantage that we have with having a flexible schedule and a travel allowance. But if you prefer not to do that type of thing, you can meet up with people in other parts of Canada - or just never leave your house. It's completely up to you! Conclusion: I think it's unfair for people to write reviews about LiveCA that say that it boasts all these lovely photos on Instagram about the trips that our team does, because really... what company would ever post about any of its downfalls on social media? I think that's silly to bring up. I also think it just means that we now have an excellent social media person who is trying to capture the intended nature of the job / company. Which is to have work-life balance and to show that we are celebrating and embracing it as an entire company. Whether if its that you want to spend more time with your family and not have to commute, or you've decided you want to RV around the continent... as long as you can figure out your wifi situation and you are good at managing your own work and speaking up when you feel swamped... this company will be a great fit for you.

Pros

I had a wonderful experience working for LiveCA over my 7+ years there. From the start I felt like I was treated like a valued part of the team. I was giving growth opportunities within the company to push my professional development, and I wouldn't be in my current role without the experience LiveCA provided. I had two WONDERFUL managers during my time there - I had never felt so supported at work. The team is engaged and committed to doing great work. The company as a whole is incredibly supportive and collaborative.

Cons

During my tenure there were some difficult times with the pandemic, economic stressors, and employee turnover. However, I ultimately always felt like the leadership team was trying to get it right, improve the workplace, and support the team.
