Pros

Lochness Medical provides you with the ability to run your own territory and create your own schedule. Additionally, the Regional Managers are there to support you in every possible way.

Cons

Kicking off 2024, the C-Suite Team decided to completely change everything that made Lochness Medical a great place to work. Commission restructures, micromanaging, and unrealistic quotas to name a few of the changes. Moreover, the Headquarters team can decide if business is given to the Rep (that lives in the Territory) or to the Inside Sales Team (that does not live in the US.) In 2023, Reps were treated with respect and it was very clear that the Leadership Team wanted the Reps to stay with the company. Flash forward to 2024, Reps are looked at as just a number that can be easily replaced (7 Reps have been let go since the beginning of the year). Benefits are awful compared to other companies. The PTO is fair. As for sick time, you are only given 2 days before they start to take away from your PTO.

Pros

Management of the full sales cycle— from prospecting, to proposals, to closing accounts. sales process of healthcare learned connections with clients Winning accounts Commission Med device role

Cons

The Buy to bill structure of sales was very difficult. As a rep managing every part from giving the price, placing the order, and sending shipping was a large demand.

Pros

Literally none, it's all bad.

Cons

This company was fantastic a few years ago, but at the start of 2024 everything has gone downhill so fast. They started the year by putting almost every sales rep on a PIP and proceeded to fire a bunch of them. The culture within the company immediately ceased to exist. Everyone is uncomfortable and is scared. They then put more people on PIP's and fired even more. Reps who haven't been fired yet are disappointed because nobody wants to be there. They also seem to be lowering people's salaries if you inherit a territory that a previous rep built. The salary was $60,000 but they decided that because the economy is so bad and inflation is so high that you may as well make less to go along with it and dropped the salary to $40,000 - saying that with the commissions you'll easily make 6 figures. Again - money that someone else brought in. Prior to 2024 this was such an amazing place to work. If you put the effort in you would reap the rewards but now, no matter what happens you'll most likely be gone in 6 months because it's impossible to not be put on a plan and then fired. The benefits are terrible, little coverage for a lot of money, no 401k match. Also you probably won't ever have a chance to be promoted so why even bother sticking around. Seriously, run!
