The product org is disorganized and chaotic, and the culture has rapidly declined. Product leadership openly expects nights and weekends, which kills work life balance and drives burnout. Requirements and priorities constantly change from product leadership, and scope is often added after commitments are made, so teams are set up to fail. Release processes are slow, pipelines fail frequently, and there’s little accountability for fixing systemic issues, which makes delivering quality work much harder than it should be. People don’t feel safe speaking up and anyone who raises concerns is shut down, you're publicly reprimanded, labeled negative or dismissed as having “legacy" thinking. Leadership talks a lot about empathy and creating safe spaces, but the reality is the opposite. The stress and toll on mental health far outweigh the paycheck.
