Pros
Money was okay at around 11-12 per hour, commissions averaged 400-1,000 a month if you did well, otherwise good luck. Union environment was the worst, everything was based on seniority and not performance. Promotions were to people who "lasted" not the ones deserving or qualified. Benefits were good if you have family, and no weekends.
Cons
Scheduling changed every 3 months usually, 40-42 hours a week. 10-11 hour Mondays with 30 min lunch sucked. Management does not do much to encourage or assist but they demand results. Tons of turnover, so culture was rocky and people were always nervous. Merger with Qwest killed the Qwest centers as Centurylink took over. Sales expectations were hard especially given the type of phone caller you would typically get.
