Pros

As a staff member at Luminos Hospice, I am incredibly proud to be part of an organization that truly leads with heart, integrity, and compassion. Every day, I witness our team go above and beyond to ensure patients and their families receive the support they need during one of life’s most difficult seasons. What sets this hospice apart is its commitment to dignity, quality of care, and personalized service. Our interdisciplinary team—nurses, aides, chaplains, social workers, volunteers, and leadership—works closely together to make sure that no patient feels alone or unseen. The emphasis on teamwork, open communication, and ongoing education makes it not just a meaningful place to work, but a place where I continue to grow both professionally and personally. The leadership team genuinely values and supports its staff, creating a culture where you feel heard, respected, and empowered. I have never worked anywhere with such a deep sense of purpose and mission. If you are looking for hospice care that is not only professional but filled with compassion—or if you are a healthcare professional looking for a workplace that truly makes a difference—Luminos Hospice is a place I would wholeheartedly recommend.

Cons

As fast as we are growing, it does make it difficult at times to keep up with recruiting enough Volunteers to meet the 5% requirement. This is a good problem to have though. :)

Pros

Luminos truly walks the talk when it comes to valuing people — from field staff to office teams, there’s a shared sense of purpose and care. Leadership is accessible and open to feedback, which isn’t always the case in growing organizations. HR, payroll, and benefits functions have evolved quickly to meet the needs of our expanding team — not perfect, but absolutely headed in the right direction. There’s room to build and shape processes if you’re someone who enjoys creating structure in a values-driven setting.

Cons

With growth comes change, and we’re still evolving in some areas of infrastructure and communication — it’s an exciting challenge, but one that requires patience and adaptability. Processes are improving, but some are still being built or standardized as the company scales across multiple states. Cross-branch alignment is an ongoing focus, and we’re actively working on making systems more consistent and user-friendly for all roles.
