Pros
I’ve worked at tech companies large and small - including some with renowned cultures - and can honestly say that Lyric is up there with the best of them. I love working here because: 1. The team is diverse and we have a lot of fun (happy hours, offsites, animated gifs and emojis galore). We’ve got people from all walks of life and are bringing more and more super talented teammates onboard every day. 2. Our customers already love our "Creative Suites" and we have so many opportunities to make their experience even better. 3. In order to deliver truly delightful and personalized experiences to our guests in a scalable and profitable way, we’re working on lots of hard problems and building a ton of interesting technology. 4. The market opportunity is huge and we’re growing like gangbusters (month-over-month growth is in the double digit percentages). 5. There’s a ton of transparency, particularly in terms of our performance (far more than I’ve seen at prior companies). This also allows us to get more stuff done, faster. 6. Our CEO, Andrew, is one of the most empathetic, inspirational and energetic CEOs I've ever encountered. With the way we’re growing, the team we're building, the quality of our products and everything that’s on the horizon, it truly feels like we have the opportunity to re-define the home-away-from-home experience for millions of people.
Cons
There were a couple of areas in the company with inexperienced managers that resulted in some unhappy people. However, this has now been addressed, enabling great new leaders to take their place.
