Pros
I genuinely enjoyed working there, I enjoyed the people and the work. On the surface, this looked like my dream job. The pay was good, I was encouraged frequently in my performance and they bought me things for my office. Based on my experience with my supervisor and team, what I found out at termination seemed inconsistent.
Cons
Unfortunately, this team was ill prepared for their new hire. Initially, I let that go and made it work as I waited for further training. They weren't able to agree on a training process as different people said different things, sent mixed messages, and remained unclear, passive (if not lying) about their expectations, nonconfrontational regarding what they did or didn't like. I asked several times, and course corrected based on the info I *was* given. I witnessed some coworkers' inability to communicate basic issues amongst peers. Instead, usurping authority and complaining to others' bosses. That should have been my first red flag. I only found out their thoughts about my performance after being terminated - though it wasn't communicated through my direct sup. This was one of the lowest blows I've experienced from an employee standpoint. There was no communication, and I was led on to believe I would be hired and everything was going great. I thought my employers had integrity, but I was deceived. If you use a temping agency, beware. There is no accountability. Make sure they don't have a policy that states you can't have any contact if you are terminated, because you will be left out to dry. Our culture has apparently degenerated to the point where we can't communicate and be straightforward with one another as adults.
