Pros
The only pro were there hours. You know what hours you will work, every other Saturday off, every Sunday off. Off early enough that if you want a second job, you can get one; if you want a night life, you can have one.
Cons
Working for the company, you make decent money. Working for the franchise, you will likely not even make a livable wage. You will HAVE TO get a second income. Too many of your bonuses, from which you make the bulk of your money if you work for a franchisee, is tied up in whether or bot everyone else at the shop is doing their job good enough and quick enough. There were no benefits offered either.
