Pros
Pay is really good for the area. Climate controlled. Uniforms provided. Plenty of parking. Provide a lunchroom with a vendor that stocks food for most dietary needs daily. Cable TV in lunchroom. Provides lockers. Provides PPE and covers up to $75 toward approved steel-toed footwear.
Cons
As stated above, management will not directly address a continuous problematic issue directly with the employee causing the issue/s . Their response is to turn to the more dependable, longterm, knowledgeable employee/s and tell them to just keep rectifying the situation in silence. Also a popular response by management is to make sure you do triple your duties to ensure the next shift is completely set. This has been a reoccurring practice for at least the last couple years. For a MASSIVE corporation the health insurance is a joke. Comparable to what a tiny company could afford to offer. HMO with an HSA card. Dental is okay for cleanings only. We need quality employees with basic math skills but the company doesn'tmake employment at MCC seem attractive to intelligent candidates who review the "whole picture" against the offerings of competing printing employers. Wage isn't the only deciding factor,MCC. We have 8 paid holidays and that is shrinking and subject to change. Vacation time taken is at the expense of your opposite rotation employee's free time and holidays with their families. Free showers, possibly electrified, every time it rains.
