Pros
People and teams on the middle level were amazing (before most of them were laid off). Passionate, hard-working, inspired (used to be).
Cons
Top management lacked strategy, empathy, and good leadership. They didn't care about the customers and team members. They loved showing off big numbers and making fake impressions of success. But on the inside, they failed at everything: products need to be more customer-oriented, but they wasted time and money on marketing instead. Hundreds of thousands of dollars were burnt. And top managers killed their own company. MEL Science is irrelevant now, they only survived because they laid off 100 people, replaced the CEO and CMO, and bought Curiosity Box. Teams are demotivated now and just hanging around for the paychecks. The culture was toxic and not supportive. Many people preferred to find mistakes and share their personal opinions on your work, instead of supporting and recognizing your success.
