Reading the review titled “Incompetent top management and toxic corporate culture” left me very confused – my experience with the Senior Officer referred to was the complete opposite to that of the reviewer. Throughout my time at the company, the Senior Officer has been a source of vision and inspiration for me. I've observed how he would provide really insightful guidance and direction to the people reporting to him. During particularly difficult or challenging situations with clients, Senior Officer would calmly set out to our internal team what needed to be said and done; put the disgruntled client at ease; then come up with a clear action plan to rectify the situation. The result? A client who was satisfied with our team and the work we did, and more business for the company; and a stronger, tighter work team, galvanized and brought closer together by Senior Officer’s leadership. Finally, from what I understand, the past few years have seen the company’s largest revenues ever, seeing growth year after year; I attribute this in large part to Senior Officer bringing all of our functional teams together and inspiring us to achieve our common goals. On the office front, Senior Officer works with our HR team to organize regular office activities and events – I’d like to think that all these events help to bring my officemates and I closer together. I am not sure what the reviewer means by a toxic corporate culture; maybe he/she never made the effort to attend office events or reach out to people?

What some of the reviews have noted is true: medical writers have substantial workloads. This needs to be addressed more definitively.
