Pros

The staff from acquired companies are generally good people but they're unlikely to be around for long.

Cons

You will be treated as a number and not a human being. If your company is taken over by this bunch expect no good will and for your best people to leave as they will not stand for the unethical intimidation tactics to get people to sign up to poor, highly restrictive contracts. They make all the right noises at the start but soon enough the company's real face is shown. They only care about the bottom line in the short term with no consideration for the returns that long term intangible assets can bring.

Pros

My current role gave me the opportunity to work across an unusually broad range of teams and functions, including Product, Finance, Legal, Engineering, RevOps, and executive leadership. I’ve really enjoyed being able to improve operational clarity at scale, building processes, governance structures, reporting workflows, and SOP frameworks that made complex environments more manageable and transparent

Cons

Like many large organizations, some workflows were held together by a mix of legacy processes, institutional knowledge, and determination. Priorities could shift quickly, and documentation/governance sometimes lagged behind operational reality. On the upside, it created a lot of opportunity for people who enjoy building structure, improving clarity, and solving operational problems
