THINK TWICE - Small Office-Prefer Not to Say MT Shoebox Employee Review

If you’re like me and had a hand in virtually all aspects of accounting but we’re not confident enough to call yourself a specialist, MT Shoebox is a great place to expand your skills. Tina Moon is not only knowledgeable but more patient than anyone I have met. She guided me through aspects of accounting that I had only touched on before. Even though I no longer work with her, I left feeling like I have a better understanding of accounting and where I fit into this field.

Only downside I could even think of is time. It’s not always easy to have enough time to handle everything and Tina’s time is very limited. I foresee this company becoming more successful as the clients and staff increase.

Micro-managed beyond belief. You'll specifically be told "I'm not a micro-manager, I'm just particular". During the interview. That should be your first red-flag. Zero autonomy or basic workplace privacy. There is no time for questions or proper training, and absolutely zero mutual respect given to employees. Terribly run business, and no place for anyone who has ambition to grow and move up in their career. Save yourself a major headache and run away. Fast.
