Pros
I worked at MYCON for nearly two years. It was hard to leave, but I had a different path to walk that was no fault of MYCON's that took me away from the DFW area. Management is very involved and will give you all the responsibility you want to advance within the company. They trusted me with some of the bigger, marquee projects in the company. That meant a lot to me. There is no arbitrary waiting period for promotions or raises, or the politics, you often find at some of the really big GCs involving raises and promotions. Show your worth and they will take care of you. That was my experience. The company is big enough to give you that "big company" feel if that is something important to you but you are not just one of many nameless employees that get lost in the shuffle. Salary is very competitive if not one of the industry leaders and the benefits are good. Their HR and IT departments were the best I've ever worked with, too. If my path ever leads me back to the DFW area, Charlie and JJ will be my first call. This company isn't going anywhere and has a bright future ahead of it.
Cons
Cons are very subjective. Some things work for some people and not for others. The main thing I will say here is like I said above, they will give you all the opportunity in the world to prove what you're worth. I think that environment lends itself to those who are very self-motivated and driven. IF that is you, this is a great place to work.
