Pros
Designing for great brands big and small. Team listens to my ideas and helps collaborate with me to really mesh them out. Great location. Small close-knit team really supports and works off of each-others strengths. Ability to learn skills in other departments. Work with a multicultural team. Pride in the work I do for a small start-up run by a strong female CEO. Multimedia opportunities (print, social, video, events, etc). Great work schedule, holidays off, unlimited paid time off (if you're ahead on your work). Great interns!
Cons
If you don't communicate you will absolutely not get what you want. Starting at the company I felt like I wasn't a good fit. After talking with CEO about my concerns we were able to get a better working dialogue. I have now been here over a year and couldn't be happier (well I could get paid more!). Need better studio equipment. Some interns don't want to work, are bad at communicating, can't handle criticism, and want a golden spoon. No business is perfect, but MYN is the best job I've had so far.
