Work From Home Policy: It’s fantastic, especially in the current health climate. There are a few weeks in the year when going into the office is optional, relatively rare in this industry. Work-Life Balance: For this industry, MacKay offers a decent work-life balance. Workloads are manageable, and deadlines are realistic, which is not something to be taken for granted. The expectations are clear and, for the most part, reasonable. Operations Teams: The individuals and managers within the operations teams are great and working with them has been a joy. Their professionalism and teamwork contribute positively to the overall work environment, making day-to-day tasks and collaboration on projects a pleasant experience.

Cooperation: Some managers/team members, ironically in the front end, can be overly demanding without acknowledging other departments' timelines, fostering a dismissive attitude and creating intra-departmental tension. Their poor interpersonal skills contribute to a feeling of hierarchy and discomfort among different teams. Limited Growth: Feels like if you're not on an investment team, the growth and advancement opportunities are a bit scarce. Over time, this can get pretty demotivating, especially for younger professionals looking to climb some sort of corporate ladder. Outdated Operating Systems: Some operating systems and software here are outdated and cumbersome to navigate.
