Pros
9-5 working hours are the only good thing
Cons
I do not recommend working at Makoon. While the work they do is meaningful, the upper management team operates as a tight-knit clique — you either fit in, or you don’t. Despite frequently discussing the importance of preventing lateral violence, the management team itself is one of the biggest contributors to it within the organization
During my time there, I was subjected to highly inappropriate questions about my sexual orientation which I brushed off as a misunderstanding ( being a new staff I was weary of causing problems)
This level of unprofessionalism was unacceptable, and I regret not addressing it further at the time.
Additionally, I have personally witnessed Makoon offering incentives to clients in exchange for positive Google reviews. The organization's consistently high staff turnover speaks volumes, and it is no surprise that they are always looking to fill positions.
