Pros
Great Benefits- Health Insurance, 401 K, 10+ free suits a year. Growth- Ideas are welcomed and aspiration for growth entertained. Family Oriented Company- Although moving in a corporate direction, because it's family owned, the close knit relationship among staff all the way to owner is still felt. Flexible Hours- Nobody closely monitors your time. Because of the intensity of work, employees are even sometimes encouraged to take some time off. Just make sure you have your responsibilities covered. Fun Activities- I appreciate that the company puts an effort to include fun activities to help the employees unwind and enjoy life outside work. Some of them are departmental dinner, Halloween party, Cinco de mayo party, Christmas party, etc.
Cons
Constant Change- Although change is vital in growth, employees sometimes find it hard to adapt or get comfortable with change. Difficult Managers/Staff- Because the company is diverse in all aspect (age, culture, educational background, etc) managers/staff may sometimes have conflict but that is also the beauty of being in a diverse company. You learn to deal with all types of people and with that experience, you become a better person/employee. Life/Work Balance- If you are not careful with your time, life and work balance may be a challenge. The key is to communicate with your manager on how to keep this balance. Busy busy busy!!!- Yes! It is extremely busy because all the workload is coming at once due to the nature of the business. So if you are not up for the challenge and doesn't want to grow, this is not the company for you.
