Pros
People on your level in your department are nice for the most part. Free coffee. Not a whole lot else.
Cons
This is a place to have a job and for most it is not a career.Management does not take the time to develop anyone and there is rarely room to move up unless you are in sales. Salaries start out super low even though they state they offer competitive salary and benefits. The cost of paying into your insurance each year leads to you taking home less money a check year after year so that's not very conpetitive either. Upper management tells the staff nothing especially at quarterly meetings which don't even happen quarterly anymore. Most information is vague as well as how employees are rated at review time. The wording is set up in a way that it is easy to give employees the lowest rating and raise possible. Management is disorganized and the only management style is threats with no reward for consistently excellent work. They've lost touch and the turn around in the company is the only truly consistent thing there. In a weak attempt to placate their employees, events like chili cooks offs have been added this past year, but that doesn't distract or make up for the fact that everyone but management is over worked and under paid. Responsibilities and workload increase yearly in a rate much higher than pay and workers are told they need to "evolve" to " meet expectations." They use up and discard the employees that keep the company profitable. The company was sold to a publicly traded company and there was no benefit to the average employee while the people at the top reaped all the benefits. The CEO does not seem fit to the task.
