Pros
Opportunities to learn a lot, various types of projects provide an introduction to many subjects and the opportunity to specialize as you get more experience. Lots of responsibility and exposure to management in top financial institutions even within the first years. This is a great way to launch a career with yearly promotions and constant learning. Opportunities to travel and work with professionals from around the world.
Cons
the scale of the opportunities varies greatly depending on how much work you are willing to put in and your aptitude. You have to be willing to work hard and sometimes long hours. (It’s not a place to show up 9-5, get a paycheck, and leave.) Some projects are less interesting than others. The starting salary is not great but the yearly raises are well above average.
