Pros
- Great exposure early on to operational consulting - Having joined as a Graduate on the Trainee Management Consultant scheme, great opportunity to develop your soft skills in preparation for working with clients and handling difficulties on site - Significant responsibility for delivery as you progress through from Trainee Management Consultant role into client facing roles - Interesting clients, both in the UK and opportunities to travel Internationally - Ability to deliver tangible impact and benefits to clients; with a hands-on delivery method - Supportive management team (and peer network!) - Monthly company updates to provide visibility of projects and business pipeline - Chance to build great relationships with colleagues due to the size of the business (especially through company socials, summer conferences abroad, and an annual winter conference usually in London) - Reading based company, but client base across the UK - meaning as a Consultant you can base yourself anywhere (although not true for Graduate role as initially office based)
Cons
- Not really a con - but it is a hands on consulting role, so there will be site travel through the week and client expectations to meet (no different to any other consulting firm) - Reading based salary - however, this is supported by a monthly car allowance and an annual bonus/commission scheme
