Cons
This is the worst job experience I have ever had, bar none. The pay was low, and the CEO asked his employees to do a wide range of unethical things. I personally saw him lie to customers on numerous occasions, and part of my job was to write fake reviews of Manhattan Home Design products on sites like Houzz, posing as a satisfied customer. In reality, I never met a satisfied customer in my entire time at this organization. "Daniel Levy" (he is Argentinian, and his true name is Javier, but he adopted a Jewish name because he believed that it would help him succeed in business in New York) is among the cruelest and most inept business owners you're likely to find. He uses sites like Elance and Odesk to hire freelancers in developing nations, and manages to pay them less than the site's stated minimums by insisting they work 20 additional hours outside of the 40 hour/week contract, and checked their computer logs, to make sure he was getting his money's worth. His paranoia extends to the office environment. When I worked there, he had cameras everywhere in the office, that he would clearly monitor from home - as evidenced by the several times he called into the office, to ask why two employees stepped out into the hall to talk. He also owns Barcelona Designs, an ostensible competitor, and on more than one occasion, I saw fed-up customers defiantly state that they were taking their business to Barcelona Designs. I would be willing to bet that any positive review you read on this site, especially promising room for advancement, were written the same way his Houzz reviews were written.
