Pros
You have the potential to make friends for life with some of the people you will work with in store.
Cons
If you want to be over worked and under appreciated, by all means - apply. This company and their management, truly believes you live to work for Maria Tash. If this review could be the reason someone doesn't apply, I will feel like I have done something good. Expect to be gaslit into thinking they're providing you with "competitive salaries" and "commission opportunities". When in reality, the salaries are nothing extraordinary considering the amount of work that the job actually entails. You also only get commission if you hit group monthly targets, which are set purposefully, unattainably high and will rarely be hit. Expect to make sales of 10k, 30k, 50k plus and not get anything for it, not even so much as a 'thank you' or a 'well done' most of the time. Expect to be told "your physical and mental health is important" but then be pressured into working when you're unwell. Often causing stress to make you more unwell. Expect to be aggressively encouraged (forced?) to use your personal phone to reach out to clients (strangers) - via whatsapp/instagram/email - subsequently allowing them to access you and your life anytime they want. Expect to have to apologise repeatedly when dealing with clients who's overpriced and poorly made jewellery breaks AGAIN, with no back up from anyone higher up. Expect to have incorrect and inconsistent pay checks every single month. HR here is amateur hour. They give you no reason to trust them, their 'abilities' or their judgments. Expect to be dismissed by management and HR when bringing up all of the above issues repeatedly for years - consistently being asked to remain "positive". Feeling ignored and replaceable will eventually leave you with no option to escape.
