Pros

Small community hospital. Great working environment and decent staffing. You get to set your own schedule.

Cons

Since it is a smaller community hospital, there is a lower level of acuity.

Pros

Free parking and transportation to and from the hospital, pension program

Cons

This place is a complete show you don’t want tickets for. Moved across country for a staff position here. There is a ego-battle between the doctors, especially the community doctors, which the nurses have to deal with. Overnight, the hospital essentially does not run. The ICU is glorified med-surg. There’s no IR or Cath-lab although there will be in the new building they are creating for this area. The House Supervisors are the absolute worse people to crawl on the face of the earth. They are incredibly unprofessional and cruel. Onboarding is difficult too. There’s is an extreme lack of communication in every aspect of your job. You will get written up for everything you didn’t do, you did, or didn’t think to do. If you care about your career, go somewhere else.
